Email : enquiries@highsierracld.co.uk Our 4th Charity Line Dance Social was held on SATURDAY 2nd OCTOBER 2004 at the BAWA Healthcare & Leisure Centre, Southmead Road, Filton, Bristol.We were delighted to raise over £3,700 for the charity and a good time was had by all. The only complaint is that we had to finish dancing at midnight! | |||||
Our Charity Fund-raising events 2002 was a great year for fund-raising. We held a number of events, mainly linked to Line Dancing, and raised a staggering £2,756 for Cancer Research UK.We raise money for Cancer Research UK at our Tuesday venue and, in 2003, due to the generosity of the dancers, we have raised an amazing £800 for this worthy charity. But the work to raise more money goes on! Add to this some money raised by other means and this year's total stands at a staggering £3,633! Tuesday Social Nights are great fun. We often have a theme - for example, our event on 22nd April (the day before St. George's Day) was "England" and lots of dancers took up the challenge to represent England in the way they dressed. Relay For Life http://www.cancer.org.uk Email : penny.beare@cancer.org.uk On 21/22 June 2003, High Sierra provided the music for this event for Cancer Research UK. It was a 24-hour relay with teams of 9 or 10 taking part to run/walk/jog/dance around an athletics track in Yate, near Bristol.
